Charity Swim

there is another event coming up for us.. :)

Manulife Charity Swim 2008
As part of their support for the local swimming fraternity, Manulife Singapore and the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) will be hosting a charity swim to engage Singaporeans to raise funds through healthy competition and to give back to the community.
The Manulife Charity Swim will take place
on Saturday, 31May
at Toa Payoh Swimming Pool
and proceeds will go to the Manulife (Singapore) Pte Limited adopted charity;
The Straits Times Pocket Money Fund.
Individual Challenge – Swimmers will have five distances laps to choose from
- 10 laps - $50
- 20 laps - $50
- 30 laps - $100
- 50 laps - $100
- 100laps - $200

Each swimmer will also be given a pledge card to raise the minimum amount of each respective category. All proceeds from the pledge cards will go directly to the needy friends benefiting from The Straits times Pocket Money Fund.

Christmas Party on Friday 28th Dec at 10am in school! by WSC :)

there will be exciting games and FREE BUFFET LUNCH!

and the games require u to travel in and out of school.. HOW FUN IS THAT :)

treat this as a team bonding session and also to get to know other teams as well...

and here are the details of the briefing on FRIDAY 21st Dec

January 2008:

4th Jan: New year celebration and WSC 17th Anniversary

10th Jan: Push-up record

Number of push-up per person will be clocked and contributed to the total record. Suggested timeslots to be in the afternoon.
Synchronized push-up.
Excused letters will be issued as this event is part of school's open house.
A club tee may be considered for this event.

February 2008:

3rd Feb: Surf'n Sweat 08
May consider 2 categories such as Institutional Men & Women and Team of 2.
Other events such as volleyball etc. may be opened up for those who are interested
Criteria of participate to be a mixed team from different WSC teams.
Subsidiary may be given for participants.

15th & 16th Feb: Chingay 2008
Theme: Immunity & Diversity.
Requires manpower to move the floats.
Targeted numbers to be 90 from all WSC teams.
Allowance and costumes will be provided.
Transport fee is under consideration.
Each participant will be given 2 training tees and 1 tailor-made costume for the event.
Packed food will be provided.

Surprised team desserts will be given on each of the training sessions.
According to different themes for the day, e.g. "Eat Healthy lifestyle", will suggest 2 servings of fruits.

Schedules for the training session as follows:
27th Dec, 5th Jan, 12th Jan, 13th Jan, 20th Jan, 25th Jan, 26th Jan, *1st Feb, *2nd Feb, 12th Feb, *14th Feb
* - combined rehearsal.

May have an overnight camp on 12th & 13th Jan.
May also provide entry for post-event celebration after the event till 4am.
This event is included as part of WSC team-building series.

March 2008:
